Anthony Frank Hawk, born on the 12th of May 1968, also known as Birdman, is an American professional skateboarder and businessman. Hawk is the creator of Birdhouse Skateboards. An early pioneer of the modern vertical skateboarding Hawk completed the first documented "900" skateboarding feat in 1999. Activision also released a skateboarding videogame series that Hawk licensed. In 2003, Hawk retired from competitive skateboarding and was considered one of the best skateboarders ever. His mother told him that Hawk was extremely hard on himself and expected him to do many things. Hawk had a time when he lost his bat in baseball, and was so upset that he hid in the ravine to escape his father.
