Danica

 Danica Sue Patrick (/'daenIk@born on March 25 1982) is an American former professional race driver. Danica Sue Patrick is the most accomplished woman ever to compete in American open-wheel racing. Her win at the 2008 Indy Japan 300 is the only woman to win in an IndyCar Series race. Patrick was born to a working class family in Beloit (Wisconsin) and began Karting when she was 10 years old. She won her category at the World Karting Association Grand National Championship three times consecutively in the late 1990s. With the consent of her parents, she quit high school and relocated to the United Kingdom in 1998 to pursue a career in karting. Patrick was a competitor in Formula Vauxhall before moving to the United States in 2001 because of a lack of funds. In 2002, she participated in five Barber Dodge Pro Series races for Rahal Letterman Racing. Patrick raced in the Toyota Atlantic Series the following two years. She was the first woman to earn the first pole position in the series in 2004 thanks to her best performances.
