Boca Chica is home to 26 residents (as as of 2000). It's located just a few miles away from the Rio Grande River's mouth. It is located just 20 miles to the east of Brownsville, Texas and not far from the Gulf Coast. The peaceful community was founded in 1960 and is in danger of becoming devastated by billionaire Elon Musk. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk purchased the land in Boca Chica in 2015. He started buying houses which were abandoned. Why? He wants to build an exclusive resort for SpaceX there. He's succeeded at buying most of the town , but the residents of 10 are refusing to sell their homes to the eccentric billionaire.Musk has concentrated his Starship Super Heavy program on the small town. The rocket's 394-foot height could drastically lower the cost of going to space as well as allow trips to orbit the moon and Mars reasonably affordable and affordable. The rocket's future is in jeopardy if the 10 remaining people in Boca chica, the majority of whom are elderly or retired--continue to refuse to sell to Musk.SpaceX attempted to purchase the whole town back in September 2019. The company claimed that it would offer residents three times the price of their houses.
