Ratched is an American psychological thriller streaming television series created by Evan Romansky, developed by Ryan Murphy and starring Sarah Paulson in the role of the title character of Nurse Mildred Ratched. It's a prequel to Milos Forman's film "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", which was inspired by Ken Kesey's 1962 book of the same name. The show focuses on Mildred Ratched's story prior to the events of the film. It is set in California (rather than Oregon). Ratched was selected for a second season. The first season debuted on Netflix on September 18, 2020.Ratched is a suspenseful drama series that tells the origin story of asylum nurse Mildred Ratched.
