Mayte Michelle Rodriguez (born on July 12, 1978) is an American actress.Rodriguez began her career in 2000, starring as boxer with a history of trouble in the sports drama independent film Girlfight (2000) and she was awarded the Independent Spirit Award and Gotham Award for her best debut performance. Rodriguez started her acting career in the role of Letty Ortiz in the Fast & Furious franchise, and also as Rain Ocampo in the Resident Evil franchise. She was in the crime thriller S.W.A.T. She was in S.W.A.T. which was a crime thriller (2003). Later, she starred as Minerva Mirabal, in James Cameron's science-fiction epic Avatar (2009) as well as in Battle: Los Angeles (2011). Rodriguez also starred in the exploitation film Machete Kills (2010) and Turbo (2013). She was also the voice of Liz Ricarro in Immortal Grand Prix, an English-language translation (2005-2006).
