 Jose Romulo Sosa Ortiz (17 February 1948 from 17 February 1948 to 28 September 2019,) who was professionally referred to as Jose Jose, was a Mexican singer and actor. Jose was born to a family of musicians and began his career when he was a teenager, playing guitar and singing in a serenade. He later joined an jazz and bossa-nova trio , where he sang and played bass and double bass.Jose Jose was a hit as a solo artist in the early 1970s. Showing off his tenor vocal talent with a stunning performance of the song "El Triste" at the Latin music festival in Mexico City in 1970, his name was a prominent figure on the Latin charts during that decade. His singing became a success, and he earned international recognition for his balladeer. The album he released in 1983 Secretos has sold more than 25 million copies. With numerous world-wide hits, he received numerous Grammy nominations and recognition worldwide. He sold out in venues such as Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall. His music was played in countries that are not Spanish-speaking, such as Russia, Israel, and Japan.
