 Dua Lipa (/'du"dua'lipa" /'dua'lipa/) (pronounced/ (listen) DOO-@ LEE-p@ Albanian ('dua 'lipa) born on 22 August 1995) is an English and Albanian[1] musician and songwriter. She has a mezzo-soprano-like vocal range and a recognizable her distinctive disco-pop style. Lipa has won numerous awards which include six Brit Awards as well as three Grammy Awards. She also has received two MTV Europe Music Awards and an MTV Video Music Award. In 2014, Lipa signed with Warner Bros. Records and released her debut album, "Lipa". The album peaked at third place on the UK Albums Chart. It produced eight singles, which included "Be the one", IDGAF, and the UK top-rated single "New Rules". This single also reached the top spot in the US. It was certified platinum in many nations around the world. Lipa won the Brit Awards for British Female Solo Artist in 2018 as well as the British Breakthrough Act 2018. The 2018 single, "One Kiss", peaked at number 1 in the UK. It was also the longest-running number one single for female artists in 2018 and was awarded the Brit Award for Song Of the Year in 2019.
