John the Apostle [10] (Ancient Greek: Ioannes; Latin: Ioannes[11]. 6 AD 6 AD -. 100 AD; Ge'ez: yohhanese;) or Saint John the Beloved was among the twelve apostles of Jesus according to the New Testament. He is generally referred to as the youngest apostle. He was the son of Zebedee, and Salome. His brother James was one of the Twelve Apostles. James, James' brother, was one of the Twelve Apostles.
