 Rebbeca Marie Gomez, born March 2nd, 1997, called professionally Becky G is an American actress and singer. In 2011, she began uploading videos online of her singing songs of her own. One of her videos caught the attention of producer Dr. Luke, who then provided her with a joint recording agreement together with Kemosabe Records and RCA Records. Gomez collaborated alongside Cody Simpson, Cher Lloyd, and will.i.am for her debut album. Her debut single, "Becky from the Block" which was released in 2013 received a positive reception upon its release. She released her debut extended play, Play It Again later that the same year. The second and her first single from 2014, "Can't Get Enough" included guest vocals from Pitbull and was later able to top the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart in the United States.Gomez was a hit with mainstream audiences after the release of "Shower" in the same year, which went on to make it into the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) would award the single a multi-platinum certification this meant that the single had been sold over two million times in the United States.
