Ring

The fact that Alfred Lord Tennyson is the ninth most frequently quoted writer in the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations tells a lot about the greatness of this incredibly prolific British poet. Poet Laureate of Great Britain and Ireland during much of Queen Victoria's reign, he was by far one of the most famous poets during the Victorian period. Tennyson was a child genius and his early love of writing set the stage for the future. However, fame and fame were not an easy task for the imaginatively powerful man. Tennyson was called an obscure poet during his first years as poet. Dejected, he didn't compose an original poem for nine years. The 19th century's fourth decade turned Tennyson's fate and thus marked the beginning of a legacy. In 1850, after Tennyson wrote "In Memoriam," it was the crowning achievement of his career. His career peaked to new heights, and he was counted as an heir to William Wordsworth. A lot of Tennyson's most well-known phrases are now used within English Languages.
