Nelson

Nelson Mandela was a South African political activist and anti-apartheid revolutionary, politician, and philanthropist who had an estimated worth of $1 million at the moment of his death in December of 2013. Nelson Mandela was President of South Africa between 1994 and 1999. The bulk of Mandela's wealth came from book royalties that he earned from his 1994 best-selling book "Long Walk to Freedom". Nelson was a semi-active speaker when his health was good. As President, Mandela slashed his salary and, over and above that, he donated 1/3 of his salary to South African children's charities.Towards the end of his life, Mandela's family waged a fairly violent battle over his wealth. Nelson was married three times more, and had six children. Only three of them were alive when he died. Nelson invested the majority of his assets in more than a dozen different trust funds that would simultaneously benefit his children as well as stop the siblings from further fighting. Through these trusts,
