 American producer and director Ken Burns has a net worth $3.5 million. American filmmaker Ken Burns is well-known for his many documentaries and documentary films about historical topics. His most famous works include "The Civil War", "Jazz," Prohibition," "The Roosevelts," or "The Vietnam War." Burns films have been praised for his use of archival footage and slow zooms in and out of images, a technique dubbed"the "Ken Burns effect. "Burns is also awarded over 20 honorary degrees. His film "The Civil War", which won more than 40 major television and film awards, won two Emmy Awards and two Grammy Awards, Producer of the Year Award (from the Producers Guild of America), an People's Choice Award and a Peabody Award. He also was awarded the duPont–Columbia Prize and the D. W. Griffith Award. The $50,000 Lincoln Prize was awarded to the actor. The documentary of 2017 "The Vietnam War" was also highly well-received. There's a Ken Burns Wing at Hampshire College's Jerome Liebling Center for Film Photography, Film and Video. Burns was awarded the S. Roger Horchow award for greatest public service by a private citizen in 2004. This is an award that Jefferson Awards gives out each year.
