 Michael Oher is an American offensive lineman in the NFL with a an estimated value of $16 million. Oher's story was told in "The Blind Side" the 2009 Academy Award-winning film starring Sandra Bullock & Tim McGraw. Quinton Aaron was the actor who played Michael Oher's role. Michael Oher was born in Memphis, Tennessee on May 28th the 28th of May, 1986. Oher was the son of Denise Oher, who was an drug addict and alcoholic as well as a father named Michael Jerome Williams, who was often in prison. Because of his family, he received little focus or discipline throughout his childhood. In the first nine years of school, he attended 11 different schools and went through the first and second grade. He was placed in foster care at age seven, and alternated between living in various foster homes as well as periods of homelessness. Oher's biological father was a cellmate of Denise Oher's brother and was murdered in prison when Oher was a senior in high school. Sean Tuohy, Leigh Anne Tuohy took in Michael Oher when he turned 16 years old. Oher became his legal guardians at the age of 17. They enlisted Oher as a tutor.
