 Sidney Kimmel is a billionaire movie producer, businessman, and philanthropist. His father was a cab driver in West Philadelphia ("born and raised in the playground" is the place I spent the majority of my days ...") Most recently he was the producer of the blockbuster movie Crazy Rich Asians. Now, he has placed two of his houses located in Malibu as well as New York City on the market for more than $100 million.Kimmel was raised in Philadelphia and was a student at Temple University for a short time but dropped out to pursue a career in. He established Jones New York (now known as Nine West Holdings) in 1970. The company was owned by Nine West, Anne Klein, Stuart Weitzman, Joan & David, Gloria Vanderbilt and Barneys New York, as also had a licensing deal with Ralph Lauren. In 1991, he took the company public. In 2014, he sold the company for $2.2 billion. He has also been a film producer for a long time, with more than 55 films to his credit. He has produced films such as The Kite Runner and United 93. The Malibu property is available since 2017 when it was listed for $80 million.
