 Lewis Hamilton is a British Formula One racing driver for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team who has a net worth of $285 million. According to legend, Lewis Hamilton approached Ron Dennis, McLaren's team's principal and told him that he was interested in a compete for McLaren. It's an outrageous idea for any young driver to make a statement like that. This is especially true when the driver is 10 years old. However, three years later, he was racing as part of the McLaren/Mercedes-Benz Young Driver Support Programme, and 12 years later, he made his Formula One debut, racing for, you guessed it, McLaren. He has since set numerous Formula One records, including the most wins of his first season (4), most points in his debut season, most pole positions in his debut season, and the most consecutive podium finishes from debut and also becoming the youngest driver to take on the World Championship at 22 years 4 months, 6 days in 2007. In the latter part of 2012, he chose to leave McLaren and has been racing with Mercedes-Benz exclusively since then. Today Lewis Hamilton is widely regarded as one of the most successful drivers to ever compete in F1. Lewis is among the most highly-paid F1 drivers in the world.
