 Kelly Hu is an American actress, activist, and model with an estimated net value of 10 million dollars. Kelly Hu was crowned Miss Teen USA 1985, as well as Miss Hawaii USA 1993. The recognition earned her national fame. She later appeared on "Sunset Beach" the soap opera, and "Nash Bridges,"" a police procedural series. Her other credits include the shows "The Vampire Diaries" and "Arrow" and the films "The Scorpion King," "Cradle 2 the Grave,"" and "X2: X-Men United." Kelly Hu is very active in a variety of philanthropic and social causes, especially concerning the ecology of her native Hawaii.Kelly Hu was born on the 13th of February, 1968 in Honolulu, Hawaii to engineering drafter Juanita and salesman and exotic bird breeder Herbert. Her brother is Glenn who is of English, Hawaiian, and Chinese heritage. Hu attended Ma'ema'e Primary School in Honolulu and Kamehameha Schools, Honolulu. She is very passionate about dancing and singing, and was attracted by her aunt who was a successful model. Hu entered the Miss Hawaii Teen USA pageant in 1985. She was ultimately crowned the title, and then went to be named Miss Teen USA 1985. Hu became the competition's first Asian-American victor in the contest. She was a model in Italy, Japan, and appeared in TV commercials for Philadelphia cream cheese.
