Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both lawyers. As a child she attended the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma had a dream to become an actor from the age of aged six. She was enrolled at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting institute with part-time courses. Through a school play as well as an Stagecoach show, she took as the lead role at age 10, and acted. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) The film adaptation to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was first cast for first time at the beginning of 1999. Casting agents discovered Emma via her Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint after auditions of 8. They were chosen to play the three lead characters Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's screen debut came with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's debut in 2001. The most successful film of 2001 The film broke records for its opening day opening and opening weekend takings. Reviewers were awed by the movie and its performances. The well-known British paper The Daily Telegraph called her performance admirable. Emma later won five awards for her performance in the movie.
