Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that loved music. Her early years were spent listening to classical music, boleros from the past, and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana enjoys tangos and opera and dramatic performances. When she was 16 years old, she began to sing and study the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began to provide her with more intense singing instruction. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, as well being a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choirs. When she moved to the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she relocated to Southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. As a teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in numerous community projects because of her love and passion for music. Ana was also a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana appreciates being able to share her love and love for traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to impart a desire to, particularly in the younger age group in order to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
