 American philanthropist Vanessa Bryant is also known as the widow of NBA player Kobe Bryant. Vanessa Bryant has a net worth of $600 million. The couple created their own foundation to provide scholarships to students of minority backgrounds all over the world. Bryant is the director of the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation and is the president and CEO at Granity Studios. Vanessa met Bryant while working as background dancer in a music video. At the time, she was only 17 years old. Kobe at the time, who was 21 years older, was present to record his first music album. They were married in just six months from their first meeting. Laine was in high school when they got married. Kobe's parents and agent, along with his sisters, chose not to attend the wedding because of their inability to support her marriage. They married on the 18th of April 2001, in Dana Point, California at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church. Kobe did not speak to his parents for two years following the wedding. The ice broke when Vanessa had their first baby in 2003.
