Shaikh Mohammed

 Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum is an Emirati businessman and politician who has a net worth in excess of $14 billion, is Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum. He is the Vice President and the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates as well as the ruler for the Emirate Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed, the owner of 99.67 percent of Dubai Holding, is also responsible for the man-made islands of palm trees within the Persian Gulf. He was born in Dubai on the 15th of July 1949. At the time of his birth, the United Arab Emirates had not been created yet. He is a member of the Al Maktoum family, Dubai's rulers. They are also descendants of the House of Al-Falasi. His grandfather's maternal line was an Abu Dhabi ruler. Sheikh Mohammed is the third child of Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum (outside of four sons) and Sheikha Latifa Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan. Sheikh Mohammed attended school in Dubai from 1966 until 1966 when he and his cousin relocated to England to go to the Bell Educational Trust English Language School. Then, he studied and completed military training at the Mons Officer Cadet School in Aldershot (now an integral part of Sandhurst).
