 Rebel Melanie Elizabeth Wilson (born Melanie Elizabeth Bownds; 2 March 1980) is an Australian actress, comedian as well as a writer, performer and producer. Wilson graduated from the Australian Theatre for Young People (2003-2007 2019, 2019). She later played the role of Toula on the SBS comedy series Pizza (2003–2007, 2019, 2020) and later as a character in The Wedge (2006–2007). She was the producer, star and wrote the musical comedy series Bogan Pride (2008). Wilson was a comic in the American comedy films Bridesmaids (both in 2011) and Struck by Lightning (also in 2012). Variety named Wilson one of the "Top Ten Comics to Look for in 2013". She played Fat Amy in the musical comedy Pitch Perfect film series (2012-2017) which brought her several award nominations and awards, including the MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance as well as a Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actress. In 2016, she was a part-time actress in the films How to Be Single and Grimsby.
