Michael

Michael Oher is an American offensive lineman in the NFL with a an estimated value of $16 million. Oher's personal story was chronicled in the Academy Award-winning 2009 film "The Blind Side" which starred Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw. Quinton Aaron was the actor who played Michael Oher's character. Michael Oher was born in Memphis, Tennessee on May 28 the 28th of May, 1986. Oher was the son of Denise Oher, who was an alcoholic and crack cocaine addict, and a father named Michael Jerome Williams, who was often in prison. Because of his family and his family, he was not given much attention or discipline during his early years. He re-entered first and second grades and attended 11 different schools over his first nine years of school. He was placed in foster care at age seven, and was alternately different foster homes as well as experiencing periods of homelessness. Oher's biological father, a former cellmate Denise Oher’s brother, was killed in prison while Oher was a senior high school student. A teenager named Michael Oher was finally taken into custody by Sean Tuohy and Leigh Anne Tuohy, when he was just 16, and the Tuohys became Oher's legal guardians when he was 17. Oher was assigned tutors who worked with him for 20 hours a week.
