Leyla Mafi

 Iran is the sole country to allow children to be executed. Amnesty International also claims that Leyla was sold by her parents to an Afghan man when she was just twelve years older to be his wife for a time. Her mother in law made her prostitute at the age of 14 and she gave birth due to this. Her family of origin gave her away to a man who was married of fifty-five years old, who turned her into a prostitute again. Leyla gave birth to her first child at nine years of age. Now a prominent journalist and human rights advocate, Asieh Amini tried to get Leyla a lawyer when she was in prison. Despite being a teenager, Leyla could not sign the document that would permit Asieh to retain an attorney for her and so Asieh put ink on her finger and got her to mark on the document. Despite this setback however, she continued to work.
