Jeanine Ferris Pirro, born June 2nd, 1951 was an American television host, author, and former New York State prosecutor, judge, and politician. Pirro hosted the Fox News Channel's Justice With Judge Jeanine from 2001 to 2022, after which she was promoted to co-host on The Five. She was frequently a contributor to NBC News, including regular appearances on The Today Show. She was the first woman elected as judge in Westchester County, New York. Pirro was also elected as the first female district attorney of Westchester County. In her position as district attorney Pirro became a prominent figure in cases of domestic violence and criminal acts against seniors. Pirro briefly ran for the Republican nomination to the United States Senate in 2006. She was competing against Hillary Clinton. However, she chose to accept the nomination to become New York Attorney General. She lost the general election to Andrew Cuomo. She authored Liars, Leakers, and Liberals in 2018, and was named as an accused by Smartmatic in a lawsuit filed in February 2021. lawsuit for defamation.
