Graham McTavish (born 4 January 1961) is a Scottish actor and writer. His credits include Dwalin in The Hobbit movie trilogy, Vlad Dracula Tepes, Loki, in several Marvel animated films, William Munny and the Saint of Killers, in the AMC series Preacher and Dougal MacKenzie, as well for his roles as William Buccleigh MacKenzie and William Buccleigh MacKenzie in the Starz's Outlander series. The actor is also known for his roles as Dwalin in Uncharted 2 and 3: Among Thieves' main antagonist Zoran Lazarevic. The actor was also the creator of Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare and A Scottish Adventure Like No Other which ranked at No. 1 in the year 2020. 1 on the New York Times' Best Seller Lists for hardcover nonfiction as well as combined print and e-book nonfictionDuring the school year, McTavish and a friend were able to write and perform comedy sketches, which led to his drama teacher requesting him to step in to play a character in Sheridan's The Rivals after the principal actor was diagnosed with a bacterial infection. McTavish enrolled at Queen Mary University of London and was awarded a doctorate in the field of English literature professor.
