Marcus Aurelius was one of the most revered Roman Emperors, who believed in placing his empire above all else. He served as the last emperor of the 'Pax Romana period,' a time of relative peace and stability in the Roman Empire. The philosophical writings and ideas were a keen follower of Stoicism were collected and stored in the dairy for over 10 years. The collection is known to the world today as 'Meditations. It was at a time where war and malady weakened the Roman empire, Aurelius made sure that he lived up to the expectation of his people by defending them from the callousness of the Germans and the Parthians. It is believed that this strong leader spent his childhood and early years by focusing on music, drama and literature, science and geometry. In his early years, he studied philosophy with enthusiasm and also developed an interest in law which eventually earned him the title of the head of the Senate. In his time as Emperor, he battled the northern nemeses with his sons Verus and his son Commodus and thus started expanding his empire's borders. Thirteen centuries later,
