Anson Williams

 Anson Williams (born Anson William Heimlich on the 25th of September 1949, in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor or singer as well as director best known for his portrayal of the an innocent, well-intentioned and gullible singer Warren "Potsie" Weber on the television series Happy Days (1974-1984), in a role in which he was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor - Series, Miniseries or Television Film.Unlike Howard and Most, Williams was one of the few to remain through the entirety of the series, though his appearances became less frequent in the later seasons. Richie, Potsie and Ralph form a band that performs at Arnold's Drive-In, among other locations, in a few episodes. Williams was the singer as Potsie. Williams's first wife, Lorrie Mahaffey, portrayed the character's girlfriend, Jennifer, in later seasons.After Happy Days, Williams began a much more active career as a television director and producer, beginning with short shows that targeted children aged 12 to 18, including after-school programming like "No Greater Gift" (1985) and "The Drug Knot" (1986) and television-movie Lone Star Kid (1986).Despite his successes as a director and producer, Williams has occasionally returned to his work on Happy Days in retrospective ways.
