Anna Shay is an heiress and daughter of Edward Shay, the late billionaire who founded Pacific Architectural and Engineers.Her fortune is derived from selling weapons and defense technologies. According to the Daily Mail she and her brother sold the company of her father for $1.2 billion in 2006. Anna Shay's net worth was estimated to be $600 million as of January 2023. Shay is the daughter of businessman Edward SShay, who died in 2012, and the late Ai-San. Her father was the founder of Pacific Architects and Engineers which was a defense contractor who was a part of the United Nations and U.S. government. Shay spoke out about her heroes in an interview with Oprah magazine. Shay declared that her heroes included her mother, father and son. These are rare traits in the present. These are not common in the current world. While her father didn't want to be a professional while she was alive, she still spent a significant portion of her time to philanthropy. Shay was a board member of the George Lopez Foundation which raises awareness about kidney disease as well as organ donation.
