 Nelly is an American actor, rapper, and entrepreneur who has an estimated worth of $8.5 million. The album he released in 2000, "Country Grammar", was his first album to break records. It sold over 10,000,000 copies worldwide. At the time Nelly was born, her dad was in the Air Force. The couple divorced when he was seven years old and he moved to St. Louis, Missouri. Nelly, his half-brother City Spud along with his the other friends Ali, Murphy Lee and Kyjuan formed the St. Lunatics, his first band when he was a teenager. The band's first hit song was "Gimme What Ya Got" the band enjoyed the local spotlight in 1997. After the St. Lunatics failed to get a record deal, Nelly decided it was the perfect time to launch an independent career. In 1999, Nelly signed a contract with Universal Music. The next year, he debuted his debut album "Country Grammar." The album remains Nelly's most-sold album. Songs were released to support the album include "Ride Wit Me" and "Country Grammar," each of which was a Top 10 hits. His second album, "Nellyville," was released in June 2002. This album featured the number-one hit singles "Dilemma", and "Hot in Here".
