 Fat Joe is a New York-born musician and rapper with a net worth of around $4 million. Fat Joe began his solo career after making an impact in the early 1990s through D.I.T.C Crew. He later launched his own label of music called Terror Squad. Fat Joe has worked with numerous of the most famous artists over the years. Fat Joe is also a part of a number of movies. The New Yorker was born in the South Bronx on August 19, 1970. Cartagena is Puerto Rican and of Cuban descent. As a child in a poor, rough area, Cartagena was driven to a life of crime at an early age. He was described as a "bully" during his school years and would often steal to help support his family. Joseph's brother introduced Joseph to Hip-Hop music at a young age. In 1992, Cartagena adopted the stage name Fat Joe da Gangster and joined Diggin' with The Crates Crew (D.I.T.C). At the time, the D.I.T.C. was in full swing.
